Dust Storm Ravages Drought-Stricken Tamworth

The drought-stricken region of Tamworth, New South Wales, experienced a dust storm early on Friday, July 20. In this video, Trina Redgwell captured the dust rolling through her property, which she said has been “crippled” by the drought.

ABC Rural reported the Redgwell family, who live on a Red Angus stud, have had a “tough couple of months,” with the dry conditions forcing them to sell off their cattle.

Redgwell told Storyful they were unable to plant any crops this winter for next year, which means another difficult year ahead.

“The financial and emotional toll of feeding constantly is excruciating,” she said. “We are constantly exhausted.” Credit: Trina Hook Redgwell via Storyful
