Man Held Over British Embassy Fire In Hague

A man has been detained after a fire broke out at the British Embassy in The Hague.

The 32-year-old was held near the embassy after the fire started at around 7.30am, Dutch police said.

An investigation is under way into whether the man was involved in the blaze.

No one was hurt, firefighters said.

The fire at the embassy - which is in the centre of the historic city - has now been put out.

Members of staff are waiting to go back into the building while firefighters complete their work at the scene, embassy spokesman Alex Lawrence said.
