The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has today unveiled over 150,000 new fixed-price prefix personalised registration numbers. These registrations are fresh to the market, having never been assigned to a vehicle or offered for sale before.

This sought-after format features a letter from A-H, followed by 25 or 26, a space and then three more letters. For instance, A25 CAR.

These registration numbers are expected to be a hit with motorists, with fixed prices starting from just £250, inclusive of VAT and assignment fee.

"This exciting upcoming release is a great opportunity to get your perfect registration in the hugely desirable prefix style for a fixed price.

"The vast majority of the 150,000 new numbers are priced at £250 each. There's a huge selection to choose from and with Christmas just around the corner, you could snap up a bargain for you or your loved ones."

Research indicates that nearly a quarter of drivers fail to grasp the meaning behind the letters and numbers on their car registration plates, reports Birmingham Live. A worrying 22 percent of drivers are clueless about what their vehicle's registration plate signifies, and this lack of knowledge increases to 27 percent amongst those aged over 65.
