Dylan Jones' 90th-minute goal lifts Tiverton Town out of relegation zone
Dylan Jones scored the goal that gave Tiverton Town their second win on the spin and pulled them out of the Southern League Premier Division South relegation zone on Saturday.
Tiverton won 2-1 at Frome Town back on Tuesday, September 10, but had to wait until last weekend for another game in the league – and Jones’ 90th goal secured the 2-1 win against Winchester City at home after Joe Parker had scored in the 29th minute.
Oliver Griggs’ equaliser in the 51st for Winchester looked like securing a point for the visitors, before the dramatics of Jones’ late winner.

After a pretty bad start to the season, manager Leigh Robinson is pleased things seem to be improving.
Robinson said: “Big credit to the players for securing back-to-back wins and responding to some bad results in August. They’ve shown some excellent character in the last fortnight. I am really pleased to get the win and also the way it came in injury time.
“I don’t think it was our best performance but, to their credit, Winchester will do that to you with their work-rate and doggedness to press and win second balls.
“We’ll play better than that and lose this season – that’s football at this level.
“That said, there have been games this year – Parkway at home in particular – where we deserved more than we got on the day, so it generally evens itself out somewhere along the line.
“Now we have everyone pretty much up to speed and in decent form, hopefully that will continue and we’ll see more positive results. ” On Saturday, Tiverton are at home against Gloucester City.
In Division One South, Willand Rovers’ Harvey Dorothy, Owen Howe, Oliver Sully and River Allen all scored in Saturday’s 4-0 home win against Cribbs. Willand are at home to Yate Town this Saturday.
