Ealing man murdered another in fight over drugs then lied about it being self-defence
An Ealing man has been convicted of murdering another in a fight over drugs. Sabin Manda, 32, killed 27-year-old Bajram Luli in an unprovoked attack on March 11 this year, before going on to falsely claim it was an act of self-defence.
Manda said he attacked Bajram due to fears for his own life. Following the incident he went ‘off the grid’ claiming he was worried about possible retaliation.

During this time he Metropolitan Police trawled through CCTV footage which captured the attack and showed it was unprovoked. Detectives then used forensic techniques to track down and arrest the killer.
Manda will appear once again at the Old Bailey for sentencing on Thursday, October 11.
Detective Inspector Adam Guttridge, Specialist Crime South, said: “The investigation team worked long and hard to locate footage of this incident that helped disprove Sabin Mandas’s claims of self-defence.
“This was an unprovoked attack and Manda will now face many years in prison to consider the consequences of his actions. I can only hope his conviction brings some comfort to Bajram’s family.”
