Eamonn Holmes has admitted he can't look after himself - after being left struggling to walk. The ITV This Morning legend and GB News presenter recently went on holiday in an electric wheelchair with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander.

The TV presenter has been unable to walk without mobility aid in recent weeks. In a new update with a dog by his side, Eamonn told fans: "Think about giving Bella a Home." Eamonn sadly added: "If I could walk and look after myself she would be mine but instead you could be me.

"Talk to @TheK9Angels . Absolutely lovely Doggie." In response, fans rushed to support him and one typed: "Oh she is lovely. Hopefully you will get stronger and be able to get another dog." Another added: "I hope you will be able to walk/ look after yourself soon and give one of these dogs a happy home once again.

"Sending you positive vibes Eamonn." Recent photos showed the star working with a physio in London's Notting Hill, first using two sticks and later a wheelchair. He was also seen pictured using a mobility scooter on holiday in the US.

But the broadcaster's mobility has been slow to improve and he has voiced his fears that he will never be able to walk again unaided. "I have tried every treatment but you go: 'Maybe I'll never get out of it,' which is a harsh reality to face," Eamonn said.

In 2022, Ruth Langsford - Eamonn's ex admitted that Eamonn's injuries had been 'testing' on their marriage as they tried to 'manage as a family'. She told Woman's Weekly magazine: "I don't know how much Eamonn's mobility will improve.

"We live in hope." She continued: "With any care situation - and there are millions of carers in this country - it isn't always easy."
