Eamonn Holmes' 'cold' response to girlfriend Katie Alexander on first holiday together

A body language expert has suggested that Eamonn Holmes could have shown more warmth towards his new partner during their first holiday together.

The GB News presenter, 64, has reportedly left his estranged wife, Ruth Langsford, also 64, in shock after being photographed with 42-year-old Katie Alexander by the docks in Barcelona before embarking on a luxurious Mediterranean cruise.

While Ruth has not yet made any public statements regarding the images captured over the weekend, body language specialist Judi James shared her insights.

She observed that as Katie was busy handling Eamonn's arrival at the Spanish port, Eamonn appeared to show a 'cold response' by riding away on his mobility scooter and leaving Katie to manage their luggage alone.

Judi commented to Mirror Online: "The body language of Eamonn and Katie here makes all her dedicated-looking behaviours seem a bit like a thankless task as she is seen bending, lugging bags and making herself busy organising Eamonn's arrival at the dock despite the fact that he buzzes off leaving her trailing in his wake and shows no signs of pinging back her loving, caring-looking smiles."

Sporting towering strappy sandals with Perspex heels, Katie looked incredibly glamorous for the couple's outing, in snaps obtained by the Mirror. However, Judi suggested that the relationship counsellor might be a tad underdressed for her "duties" of looking after the Northern Irishman.

She commented: "Katie actually looks a little unprepared for her duties here, too. The outfit might look practical but those strappy sandals with their high see-thru heels don't seem ideal for a job of fetching, carrying and organising.

"She appears more dressed for a romantic getaway and her chatty, smiley behaviour with other guests makes her seem excited and full of anticipation about her luxury cruise."

Eamonn reportedly sought solace from Katie after he and Ruth announced their surprising split in May. There's no suggestion of any overlap between the relationships, although it has been reported that the former This Morning star's marriage ended after she was "devastated" to discover messages from another woman on his laptop.

After separating, Eamonn moved out of the Surrey home he shared with Ruth - and Katie was frequently spotted visiting him at his rented London residence.

Ruth has yet to comment on the latest photos of the new couple, however, she did post on Instagram, showcasing her range from QVC, with the caption: "All my own work" as she navigates life without her husband.

She shared a snapshot of her brunch setup, complete with a pile of newspapers. Prominently displayed on one of the front pages was an article about Eamonn and his latest love interest, headlined: "I feel for TV Ruth."
