Early Morning Blast Rocks Gaza Neighborhood as Tensions Rise

Two missiles exploded at a base southwest of Gaza city, one of multiple locations Israel targeted with air and mortar strikes on July 14.

Another Israeli airstrike hit a field in Beit Lahia, located in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses then recorded Israeli’s Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepting rockets fired from Gaza over Zikim, a town located north of the Gaza strip, in the afternoon.

In the early evening, an Israeli airstrike hit a building in a central square in Gaza City, killing at least two people.

At the end of the day local time, Israel and Palestinian groups in Gaza said they had reached a ceasefire with help from negotiators from Egypt, Reuters said. Credit: Mahmoud al-Dahdouh via Storyful
