Early-Season Snow Brings Travel Disruption to Colorado

Snow covered trees near Rocky Mountain National Park on Thursday, October 27, as gusty wind and snow showers swept over the Colorado mountains.

On Thursday morning, the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of potentially slick roadways, and reported “at least one accident” had occurred on a local interstate.

This footage was captured by Richard Geppinger, who said he filmed it at his home in Allenspark, Boulder County, on Thursday morning.

Between two and four inches of snow was expected for the area during the day, according to the NWS. Credit: Richard Geppinger via Storyful
