The East London Christmas market ideal for hot chocolate lovers

Christmas markets are popping up across London but this one has a unique twist. Old Spitalfields Market is hosting a Hot Chocolate Trail from Sunday, December 1 to Sunday, December 8.

The trail is perfect for indulgent winter treats, offering 15 hot chocolate-inspire dishes and drinks crafted by the market's traders, bars and restaurants. On top of this there will also be a free chocolate themed workshop at the end of the trail on the market's winter terrace.

The chocolate dishes and drinks include a Ferrero-inspired drink, indulgent mochi, and hot choc-dipped churros. The market itself will be adorned with Christmas decorations and garlands to create the festive vibe.

Other special treats include the Yum Bun, a crispy bao with hot chocolate orange dipping sauce. The Le Bab is a S’more – spiced cinnamon flatbread with melted dark chocolate and creamy marshmallows.

Sud Italia also will be on the menu - a Nutella and toasted marshmallow pizza. Roxy Ra Ra Cakes (Hot chocolate chip cookie shots), and Bleecker Burgers (Double chocolate milkshake) will also feature. Other sellers will also be there like Crunch who serve a deep fried chocolate bread and butter pudding, with milk chocolate and dulce de leche dipping sauce. Funky Cellar have taken on the piece de resistance with their Le Chocolat Chaud in classic style with whipped crème and meringues.

You don't need a ticket, you can just turn up and indulge. Kids can pick up a a chocolate trail map and discover hidden chocolates around the market too in a special chocolate hunt.
