East Lothian police hunt gang of thieves who 'raided garage and stole motorbikes'

Three motorbikes and two mountain bikes were stolen by a gang of East Lothian thieves who raided a garage during the night.

Police in Tranent are appealing to the public for information after a Honda CRF 300, Honda CRF 110, KTM 150 EXC and two push bikes were stolen from a garage on Laidlaw Gardens.

It is understood the theft took place between 7pm and 8pm on Friday, November 22 and officers have since recovered both mountain bikes, which have been examined and returned to the owner.

Sergeant Dougie Wardell said: “We are continuing to check relevant CCTV footage from in and around the area and I would like to appeal to anyone with recording equipment, such as dash cams or ring doorbells, to check the footage as they could have captured images which could assist our investigation.”
