East Lothian police launch manhunt as 'homes broken into and car stolen'
Detectives in East Lothian are searching for information after two homes were broken into on Friday.
A car was stolen from a property in Tranent and the thieves were believed to have made their way to Prestonpans with it.
The incident occurred on Friday, September 6 and a silver Mercedes A Class saloon was taken. Later in the day, another home was broken into in Appin Drive Prestonpans.

Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police Scotland East Lothian said: "We are appealing for information following a housebreaking in the Lawson Way area of Tranent on Friday September 6 2024.
"During the crime, a silver Mercedes A Class saloon was stolen from the address and remains outstanding.
"Another housebreaking occurred in the Appin Drive area of Prestonpans on the same day. The silver Mercedes A Class that was stolen from Tranent is believed to have been used for this crime and possibly others in the same area.
