EastEnders will air Lee Ryan's first scenes as enigmatic bar manager Woody next week.
As revealed earlier this year, Blue singer Lee landed a guest role on the BBC soap as a new character called 'Woody' Woodward, who will be shaking up life in Albert Square.
While we already knew that Woody will be ruffling some feathers and breaking some hearts, further details on what brings him to Walford had been under wraps.
However, we can now reveal that Woody will be sent to manage The Vic by Linda Carter – who is currently tied up looking after her unwell mum Elaine away from London.
With Mick also away, the Carters have been up against it as they've endured one financial problem after another. But Woody's arrival couldn't come at a worse time as he actually turns up on the day of Sylvie's funeral – and amid a brand new crisis for the family.
It's fair to say that Woody doesn't exactly get the warmest of welcomes at The Vic as it becomes clear that no one really wants him there. But will he stand his ground? Or has he got a difficult battle on his hands?
EastEnders airs Woody's first scenes on Tuesday, April 18 on BBC One.
