EastEnders to air parrot storyline for Rocky Cotton
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders is set to give Rocky Cotton a new friend, with the car salesman acquiring a pet parrot.
As reported by The Sun, Rocky will affectionately name the pet Jasper Parrott – after comedian Jasper Carrott – with the bird set to be at the centre of the custody battle between Rocky and Jo (Vicki Michelle).

Rocky will reportedly be desperate to get the parrot back in order to further his relationship with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).
In current news regarding the BBC soap, former star John Partridge revealed that he would be open to the idea of reprising his role as Christian Clarke, saying: “I loved my time there, so I would absolutely consider it.

“I think it’s so important to have gay representation on TV, be that me or anybody else, but I think the show is doing a great job at that currently,” he added. “I reckon Christian is quite happy in Birmingham for now, down the Bullring on a Saturday getting a few bits in.”
The actor, who last played the character in 2016, also spoke of the impact from Christian’s and Syed Masood’s relationship, adding: “I’m contacted on a daily basis by people saying ‘Viva Cryed’ or ‘Cryed Forever’.
“It’s a story that helped young people - and older people too. I never had any reaction to it that was remotely twisted. From 80-year-old nans to white van men, it was all: ‘Go Christian.’ And I know it’s not like that for lots of people on EastEnders.”
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
