Yahoo News EastEnders airs Kat and Alfie kiss after huge mix-up

EastEnders has aired a kiss between Kat Slater and Alfie Moon, after a major misunderstanding which caused tension.
Kat fell out with her family over Jean’s call to social services about Tommy, and this week Alfie helped the Slaters to reconcile.
She was grateful for his help and Freddie noticed their chemistry, but as Alfie considered the possibility of a reunion, he noticed Kat and Stacey talking to a group of men in The Vic.

In today’s episode, Alfie woke up on the sofa and as he was getting the twins ready, he heard Kat in his bedroom with someone else.
Thinking that Kat had spent the night with one of the men from the pub, Alfie talked about the situation to Ian, who told him that he needed to put some boundaries in place.
He returned to the flat and confronted Kat about her behaviour, but he was left red-faced when it was revealed that it was Stacey who had stayed over last night.
But it wasn’t long before the pair ended up in an argument when Kat said that she had the right to do what she wanted in her home and Alfie blamed her for the mess they were in with Tommy.

Kat and Alfie were at odds as they arrived for their social services meeting, but when Tommy was cold towards his mum, Alfie was there to hold her hand in support.
They were told that with the investigation complete, Tommy’s case had been stepped down, and they were able to start working towards bringing him back home.
Things felt awkward, but at the end of the meeting, Alfie made a heartfelt speech where he told Tommy that he and Kat would always be there for him, and that while his anger was temporary, love would always survive.

Tommy looked emotional at his dad’s words as he left with the social worker, and it felt like some progress had been made with the family.
Kat was grateful for Alfie’s support in the meeting, and when they returned to the flat, she surprised Alfie by suddenly kissing him.
How will Alfie react, and could this lead to a reunion?
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
