Yahoo News EastEnders airs surprise return for Pam Coker
EastEnders aired a surprise return for Pam Coker tonight (May 25) as she turned up at Billy and Honey Mitchell's housewarming party with some important news for the couple.
Some fans had been speculating that Pam could be about to make a comeback after Ben Mitchell was seen making a mystery phone call during Tuesday's episode.
Sure enough, it appears it was Pam who he was contacting as she delighted Billy and Honey with her unannounced reappearance – part of a surprise organised by Ben and Jay.
Billy and Honey have recently moved into Pam and Les's old home above the funeral parlour, after they took over the business when the Cokers bowed out of Walford in October.
However, after spending the evening reacquainting with her old friends, the real reason for Pam's return was revealed as she told the Mitchell duo that she had a message to pass on from Les.
Thankfully, the pair's nerves soon turned to delight when Pam announced that Les had been so impressed with how Billy had managed the place that he wanted to offer him a business partnership – which would mean renaming the parlour 'Coker and Mitchell'.
Pam's news paves the way for an even brighter future for Billy and Honey, but they weren't the only ones inspired by her visit, as Pam also had a touching message to pass on to Ben.
Pam took time out of the party to share a moment with Ben as they remembered her grandson Paul Coker, who was murdered in a homophobic attack last summer.
As the pair reflected on their fond memories of Paul, a kind-hearted Pam urged Ben to move on with his life – insisting that Paul would want him to meet someone else one day.
EastEnders continues tomorrow (May 26) at 8pm on BBC One.
