EastEnders threw another wrench into Mick and Linda Carter's marriage as more damning secrets were revealed.

After months of being kept in the dark, viewers have seen Mick (Danny Dyer) blindsided by the news that his wife Linda (Kellie Bright) has suffering in silence with a cancer scare.

Luckily, the couple got a rare bit of good news when Linda received the all-clear in Thursday's (October 12) episode, after Mick insisted that he take her to see the doctor.

However, Mick's relief was short-lived after returning to the Vic. Very quickly, he sussed that Woody Woodward (Lee Ryan) had known the truth about Linda's diagnosis for weeks.

"I'm relieved, but I just can't believe you lied about something so important... You've had an operation," a sad Mick complained.

"I've tried to come to terms with having cancer. It's my body," Linda shot back. "Besides, I knew how you'd get... When I need you to be strong, look after me, you make things worse!"

As Mick continued to confront Linda about keeping yet another secret, he was also shocked to learn that his wife had deliberately chosen to stay with her mum Elaine two months longer than necessary.

That hurtful revelation was enough to push Mick into packing his suitcase and storming out of the Carter house, despite a distraught Linda's pleas for him to stay.

"My whole life, the people I love have lied to me... You're the one person I never thought would," Mick admitted as he walked out.

After all the Carters have been through this year, is it really the end? Viewers have been sounding off on what Linda's latest revelations mean for the future of the family (as well pointing up the lingering impact of Mick's kiss with Whitney):
