EastEnders hardman Phil Mitchell will betray Vincent Hubbard in the show's latest heist twist next week.

Last night's episode of the BBC soap saw the robbery storyline return to centre stage as all of the men involved in the job finally came out of hiding.

But with everyone still determined to find out what happened to the money, more truths will emerge throughout the week – particularly regarding Ben's involvement.

As tensions continue to rise for the men involved, Vincent is soon called into The Albert following a break-in, which has actually been ordered by a manipulative Aidan.

Aware that Aidan isn't one to be messed with, Phil becomes increasingly fearful for his son's safety, especially with Mel Owen also piling on the pressure.

When Mel warns Phil he has until the end of the day to find the money or else she'll tell Aidan the truth, he turns his attention to Vincent in a last-ditch attempt to help Ben.

After spotting Vincent talking to an old police friend outside The Albert, Phil confronts him but is left unnerved when Vincent suggests they go to the police about Aidan.

Although Phil is quick to shut down the idea, Vincent is determined to persuade him otherwise – explaining how getting rid of the ring-leader would benefit them all.

Despite his reluctance to listen to Vincent's idea, it does give Phil food for thought as he realises it could be an opportunity to keep Ben's name out of it.

Determined to protect his son, Phil later betrays Vincent by trying to shift Aidan's suspicions from Mick onto Vincent instead.

However, when the money is still nowhere to be found, Aidan starts to lose patience and ultimately decides to take matters into his own hands.

By the end of the week, Aidan is going to extreme lengths to find his money, but will he get the answers he's looking for?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 30 and Thursday, February 1 on BBC One.
