EastEnders couple Martin and Stacey Fowler will hit the rocks next week when he starts to worry if they made a mistake by having a baby together.

Martin (James Bye) was recently sentenced to a short prison sentence for assaulting a prison officer amid the gas explosion panic, and his absence will start taking its toll on his pregnant wife Stacey.

To make matters worse, Stacey (Lacey Turner) has recently learned that her young son Arthur is at risk of getting Brugada Syndrome after his biological dad Kush was diagnosed with the condition after his cardiac arrest.

Aware of how much Stacey is struggling, Whitney and Woody kindly decide to step in and help –only to end up on the wrong side of her temper when they take the children out without her permission.

Stacey's problems increase when Carmel decides to check in on her grandson Arthur at a particularly inconvenient time given that Lily is misbehaving.

When Lily pushes her mum to her limits, Stacey finally snaps in a heated moment that is unfortunately witnessed by an interfering Carmel – who oversteps the line once again.

As a furious Stacey drags Carmel out of the house, Martin arrives home from prison and witnesses the commotion – leading him to grow concerned about his wife's state of mind.

After reuniting with his family, Martin does his best to support a worried Stacey ahead of Arthur's appointment, but the pair get more bad news when they learn that the youngster is at high risk of getting Brugada Syndrome.

With the pressure increasing, Martin confides in his sister Michelle about his fears – admitting that he's worried having the new baby might be a mistake, just as Stacey walks in!

Although Martin does manage to explain himself to a furious Stacey, he soon makes another mistake when he asks Kush for some money in order to pay for the medical equipment Arthur needs.

Martin's latest actions only serve to infuriate Stacey further when she gets the wrong end of the stick and accuses him of not wanting their unborn baby at all.

As Stacey insists Martin leaves, he does his best to explain his actions to her, but simply makes the situation even worse. Can Martin get through to her? Or are the usually-solid couple facing some serious problems?
