Whitney Carter's subdued behaviour will spark concern from her friends on EastEnders next week.
Viewers have seen Whitney (Shona McGarty) endure a hellish few months after her husband Lee walked out on her and has since filed for divorce.
Poor Whitney's struggle became all the more apparent last week when her secret shoplifting habit was revealed and she later fell into bed with barman Woody.
Whitney's story will continue to take hold over the coming episodes, but by next week it becomes clear that something is very wrong with her.
Johnny and Kathy are both quick to notice that all is not right with Whitney and the pair become increasingly worried about her well-being.
A concerned Johnny will assume that the reality of the last few months is finally catching up with Whitney as he attempts to reach out to her. But is that really the reason? Or is something else causing Whitney's strange behaviour?
