Denise Fox shocks Kush Kazemi on EastEnders next week by admitting that she wants him back.
The couple's recent romance proved very short-lived when Denise (Diane Parish) abruptly ended things with Kush, feeling too proud to confide in him about how she was struggling to feed herself after quitting her job.
More recently, Kush (Davood Ghadami) has reluctantly started going on dates again, leaving Denise kicking herself.
Fortunately, Patrick Trueman's return to Walford marks a turning point for Denise, as he encourages her to start being more honest about the problems she's facing.
Even Denise's sister Kim is on hand to give her some advice once she knows the truth too, encouraging her in a touching heart-to-heart.
Agreeing that it's time to be more honest about her feelings, Denise invites Kush out for a drink – much to the concern of Carmel.
When the former couple meet up at the Queen Vic, Denise explains the secret reasons behind her recent behaviour and apologises to Kush for the way she treated him.
Denise also tells Kush that she loves him, but how will he react? Does he still want to be with her, or is there too much water under the bridge now?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Tuesday, June 6 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
