EastEnders has revealed Ben Mitchell's fate following his shock collapse.

Ben was last seen collapsing in disturbing scenes in Monday's episode (August 1), after he'd taken more drugs and missed daughter Lexi's dinner.

On Tuesday (August 2), the Mitchells were gathered for Lexi's dinner, with Callum Highway and Jay Brown joining them for the special occasion.

They soon realised something was very wrong when Lexi played a voicemail from Ben sounding strung out as he promised he was on his way, vowing he wouldn't let his daughter down.

As Callum went to leave, he and Jay found Ben collapsed in the allotment. Kathy was soon on the scene as well, with Callum attempting to resuscitate Ben using heart compressions.

"Oh come on, Ben, breath, breath," Callum begged.

The paramedics were on the scene within minutes to rush Ben to hospital. Later, Sam Mitchell arrived at the hospital just as the doctor revealed Ben had been stabilised.

However, Sam was kept on her toes as the doctor confirmed the police would be notified since there were drugs in Ben's system.

"Whatever's happened, it's got nothing to do with me or Peggy's," Sam insisted.

Back in Walford, Sharon Watts figured out what was really going on when a cagey Zack only intimated that Ben had collapsed without spilling the whole truth.

"We promised we'd be honest with each other. Zack, tell me, now," she demanded.

Sharon then told Phil what she suspected for weeks – Sam knew Ben was abusing drugs and had actually been running the gear through the club.

"Sam's been letting it happen," she revealed.

Phil seethed over the duff-duff for this latest episode…
