EastEnders confirms David Wicks' return date amid Cindy reunion
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has confirmed that David Wicks will return to Walford next week, and will reunite with his ex, Cindy Beale.
In July, it was revealed that actor Michael French would be reprising his role as David for a short stint – one of several big returns as the show gears up for its 40th anniversary next year.
Last week, the soap shared a first look at David reuniting with his daughter Bianca, as she continued to fight for her half-sister Sonia’s freedom.

Now, it has been announced that David will make his first appearance in Albert Square in 10 years on Monday, October 7.
He is quickly spotted by Cindy, and she is determined to stay away from her ex – as David still believes her to be dead.
Cindy explains to George why David's return has spooked her so much, and he encourages her ex-wife to face up to her past.

David has a meeting with Reiss, who Bianca is rightly convinced killed Debbie. But he soon gets distracted when he sees Cindy standing in front of him.
He is shocked to see her alive and well and naturally has a lot of questions for her, and Cindy answers them as they catch up on the past two decades.
Meanwhile, an oblivious Ian tells Peter and Lauren that he and Cindy may get married again. He admits that he tried to propose before but messed things up.

But Ian is horrified when Bianca reveals that David is back in Albert Square. Viewers might remember that Ian isn't David's biggest fan – after all, he hired a private investigator to expose his affair with Cindy back in the day.
Ian decides to make amends with Anna, after previously blaming her for Bobby leaving Walford several weeks ago, and tells her that he has a big plan for Cindy.

Elsewhere, David and Bianca get to have a proper catch up, and they make up for lost time with some deep conversations.
Later in the week, Cindy, who is also currently embroiled in an affair with Junior, faces a dramatic night where she is forced to juggle several tricky situations in her life.
What will David’s appearance in Albert Square mean for Cindy, Ian and Bianca?
