Harvey ends up letting Jean keep the dress after all, but Stacey has had enough and decides she needs to intervene, following talks with Martin and Shirley.
She marches over to the cab office and pleads with Harvey not to move away with Jean.
Unfortunately, Harvey's attention is soon diverted when he gets a terrifying phone call – Aaron has been seriously injured and is in hospital.
Seeing the state he is in, Stacey supports Harvey at the hospital. As they talk, Stacey realises that Jean has been a distraction for Harvey and tries to make him see this too, begging him not to marry Jean.

When Stacey is unable to locate her, she enlists Martin's help in tracking her down. After talking to Harvey, they realise Jean has gone to Southend. While there, Jean enjoys the sights of Southend in her wedding dress and also goes to a local funfair.
Stacey and Martin arrive and manage to track down Jean, but are horrified to see her walking towards the water.
Stacey runs after her and carefully tries to encourage Jean away from the water.
