EastEnders has hinted that Ben Mitchell's exit storyline will involve a high-stakes showdown with Mel Owen.
Ben looks set to depart our screens imminently, as Thursday night's episode (January 11) saw him leave the Square in a cab to catch a ferry.
The young mechanic has decided to do a runner from Walford after secretly stealing the loot from Aidan Maguire's recent heist.
Sadly for Ben, there's still one major obstacle standing in his way, as Mel is back on the Square and knows all about his greedy move.
Mel is following instructions from Aidan's ex-wife Ciara, who had her money and jewellery stolen in the van robbery on New Year's Day.
Upon her arrival on the Square, eagle-eyed Mel quickly realised Ben was up to something.
Her suspicions were soon confirmed when she found out about Ben treating his mum Kathy to an expensive necklace – turns out fans were right to suspect that it'd be Ben's fatal error!
After Ben headed off, Mel tricked the cab company into telling her where he was going and sending another car so that she could follow him.
Getting on the phone to Ciara, she promised: "I know who's got your money. His name's Ben Mitchell. And I know just where to find him."
Good luck, Ben – you're going to need it!
