EastEnders has invited back one of the soap's biggest villains in the form of James Willmott-Brown, who was revealed in the closing seconds of tonight's (September 22) episode.

Willmott-Brown – played by original actor William Boyde – is the evil businessman who raped Kathy back in 1988, serving a three-year prison sentence as a result.

In a huge twist, he's been revealed as the mastermind behind Weyland and Co and the plan to take over Albert Square (with the help of Max Branning).

There were some rather smug viewers who connected the dots and worked it all out ages ago.

Others were just in serious shock about the villain's return.
