Yahoo News EastEnders horror as Michelle Fowler causes huge crash
EastEnders just aired one of its most dramatic cliffhangers in a while as Michelle Fowler crashed her car into the chippy, leaving several lives in danger.
We already knew that the reveal of Michelle's affair with Preston would have disastrous consequences – but further details had been kept under wraps until transmission.
Tuesday's visit to Walford picked up from where it left off last night after Bex publicly demanded to know if Michelle was sleeping with her new boyfriend Preston.
As the walls closed in around her, Michelle was forced to answer questions from her confused brother Martin – who was horrified to learn that she had been seeing Preston for almost a year and had allowed him to enter into a relationship with his vulnerable daughter Bex.
Faced with the prospect of losing Martin and Bex forever, Michelle was further devastated to learn that she might have lost Preston too as he was on his way to the Tube station, having decided to leave Walford for good.
Against her better judgment, Michelle jumped into the car to chase him but soon found herself suffering under the effects of the sleeping tablet she had earlier combined with wine.
When an exhausted Michelle started losing concentration, she was forced to swerve the car to avoid hitting Preston – sending it ploughing into Ian's Beale's chip shop.
The closing moments of the episode showed an injured Michelle slumped over the steering wheel, but there is also a big question mark over Kathy and Kush – who were both in the chippy at the time. Will they pull through?
