Can Sharon and Kheerat keep things a secret?

Kheerat is making himself useful at the gym launch when he prises Zack away from an important potential client, shuts him in the locker room and turns up the music.

It’s a move that’s obviously been done for the benefit of Sharon, but the pair of them later agree over dinner at Walford East to keep things casual. Yet when Suki interrupts, Kheerat finds he can’t help but revel in his rebellion and ends up making his mum squirm about his dalliances with Sharon.

Mind you, that smug grin is about to be wiped from Kheerat’s face when Suki reveals that she’s invited Stas over to the Minute Mart to talk business.

Kat is home from hospital

Kat may have survived bouncing off Whitney’s car bonnet, but after being discharged from hospital, the idea of recuperating at the Slaters’ proves too much to handle.

Hence her showing up at Phil’s with Tommy, Bert and Ernie in tow. And to give the normally unempathetic Mr Mitchell some credit, he does find a way of ensuring that Kat gets some rest: by plonking the kids in front of Ben’s games console.

Mila’s sister Kioni needs protection

Week by week we’re discovering more about mysterious Mila, to the extent that it’s feeling as though EastEnders is now starting to position as a major character.

We recently met Mila’s prejudiced mum Nyangi, and now little sister Kioni arrives on the scene. Following Kioni’s appearance, Mila asks Iqra for some privacy, which suggests that there are further secrets yet to be revealed. It soon transpires that Kioni is due to take a trip in a fortnight’s time – and, after learning about the expedition, Mila decides that her sis is in need of protection. Just what is going on?

Kim meets a new man

Battleaxe Vi is very quick to put other people down and her acid tongue is now set to burn Kim. After finding herself on the receiving end of a loaded comment, the Foxcatcher supremo starts to worry that she’s getting old before her time and promptly asks a man out for dinner.

Now, Thursday is actually Kim’s birthday and she’ll be seen celebrating in the company of this new beau, whose name is Dwayne. But it seems that Kim may have her blinkers on when it comes to this fella. Let’s just say that there’s more to him than initially meets the eye.

Sonia gives Rocky a chance

Sonia is still feeling conflicted about her dad having suddenly resurfaced, but Keegan gives her food for thought when he tells her he’s grateful for having given his own father Mitch a second chance.

Later on, Sonia tells Tiff that she’s decided to take things one step at her time with Rocky. But my personal hope is that she ends up reaching out to Carol for advice. Wouldn’t a return appearance by Lindsey Coulson be marvellous – if only for a couple of episodes?
