EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders will revisit evil Gavin Sullivan's death next week, as Kathy is forced to consider surprise action.
Kathy's problems will mount towards the end of the month, when Kheerat insists Ben buys him out of the business.
The Panesar family are reeling in the wake of Ben's bombshell over Jags's death last year, and the tragic role he played in it.
Kathy is horrified to see Kheerat and Vinny have destroyed The Arches sign in Monday's episode, and is left further panicked by what they demand next.
Kathy is anxious when Kheerat tells her he wants out of The Arches and Ben has three days to pay him, or else.
When Ben spots the damage, he struggles with his emotions and asks Jonah's dealer Tez for drugs – which schoolboy Tommy later finds.
Worried for Ben, Kathy turns to Phil and asks him for money to help buy Kheerat out.
Phil, however, insists that he doesn't have the cash and tells Kathy that he thinks Ben is fine anyway.
With no support from Phil, and determined to find the money, Kathy contemplates asking Gavin's sister to release money from his estate.
Rocky advises her against this, but she pursues it regardless.
Kathy's ex-husband Gavin – who is also the biological father of Sharon and Zack – was killed off screen in January 2021. Prior to that, he hadn't been seen in Walford since 2016.
Viewers will have to wait and see whether Kathy's quest is successful, but there's further trouble when Rocky unwittingly tells Zack about Kathy’s plans.
This coincides with an already-testing time for Zack, who is desperately trying to find the money to buy his car back from Rocky.
When Zack's efforts prove fruitless, he finds himself furiously clashing with Ben, who enjoys winding him up.
As tensions between them reach boiling point, Zack ends up punching Ben to the ground in Peggy’s.
Meanwhile, the Panesar children make plans to go to the opening of the family's new GP surgery, despite the recent tension between them.
Regardless, Kheerat is quick to make it clear to Suki that he will never forgive her for sending Jags to prison unnecessarily.
EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One, with some episodes airing on BBC Two during summer sporting events. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
