EastEnders' Kathy Beale will learn the truth about her son Ben Mitchell's harrowing rape ordeal next week.
Callum currently believes that Ben had consensual sex with Lewis, and has ended their marriage as a result.
As Ben continues to struggle in silence next week, Kheerat grows concerned when he refuses to work at The Arches.
With only Dotty around to help, Jay offers to speak to a mechanic he knows, but this only serves to unsettle Ben further.
When Ben finally shows up for work, he is put out to see Kheerat has hired another mechanic, Dave. Ben becomes uncomfortable with Dave's over-familiarity and abruptly leaves.
Later, Ben spots Lewis telling Kathy he was recently involved in a homophobic attack.
Ben has little sympathy for him and tells Lewis that he gave him an STI.
Kheerat is worried to see the medication Ben is taking and tries to support him.
Kathy, on the other hand, grows increasingly fed up with Ben's behaviour and berates him when he is rude to Rocky.
Ben's turmoil intensifies when he witnesses Callum telling Lewis that he should report his homophobic attack to the police.
Spooked by their exchange, Ben returns to The Arches and insists Dave leaves, before breaking down.
When Ben wakes up after spending the night at the garage, he's panicked to hear Dave slamming on the door for his wages.
Although Jay manages to pacify the situation, Kheerat is alarmed by the state of Ben and suggests he takes some time off.
Desperate to help Ben, Kheerat shares his concerns with Kathy. When Ben arrives home, Kathy confronts him and they have another heated argument.
As Kathy blames Ben for what happened with Callum, his distress is palpable. The penny then drops for Kathy – Lewis raped Ben.
Kathy reels from her discovery and does all she can to support Ben, who insists he needs some space.
Ben later returns, much to Kathy's relief, and they are able to talk about what happened.
Kathy has a heart-to-heart with Ben and encourages him to go to the police, but will he listen?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Wednesday June 8 and Thursday, June 9 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
