EastEnders' Lola Pearce star Danielle Harold announces return to BBC One for Celebrity MasterChef

Ex-EastEnders star Danielle Harold will be taking part in the 2024 series of Celebrity MasterChef. The actress, 32 from Lewisham, is famed for playing Lola Pearce on the BBC One soap before her character was killed off in a harrowing cancer storyline in 2023.

But Danielle will return to BBC One this summer when the celeb cooking competition returns for a 19th season. Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace will be joined by a star-studded line-up ready to prove they have what it takes to be crowned Celebrity MasterChef Champion 2024.

Also joining soap star Danielle on the show will be reality TV stars Charlotte Crosby and Chloe Burrows, TV personality Christine McGuinness, The Traitors star Diane Carson, TV and radio presenter Craig Doyle and more.

Elsewhere in the line-up are make-up artist and TV judge Dominic Skinner, TV and radio presenter Edith Bowman, model Emma Thynn, comedian and actor Eshaan Akbar and Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (AKA Nitro).

Joining them in the kitchen are pop star Ian 'H' Watkins, presenter Jake Quickenden, comedian Jamie MacDonald, Sugababes star Mutya Buena, BBC Radio 2 presenter OJ Borg, actor Rochenda Sandall, TV and radio presenter Snoochie Shy, actor Tamer Hassan and Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Vito Coppola.

Taking to X (Twitter) on Wednesday (June 19), former I'm A Celeb campmate Danielle shared her excitement for joining the celeb MasterChef cast. She wrote: "I can’t believe I’m actually being trusted in the MasterChef kitchen. Here we go!."

She was instantly met with encouragement from friends and fans, with one person writing: "Good luck."

A second stated: "You’re gonna be amazing as always x", while a third chimed in with: "Can't wait to watch you on it."

Celebrity MasterChef season 19 comes to BBC One this summer.
