EastEnders' Maisie Smith moves in with Strictly's Max George

EastEnders star Maisie Smith has opened up on living with her boyfriend Max George, revealing the bad habits they both share.

The former soap actress and Strictly Come Dancing alum spoke to OK! Magazine about moving in with The Wanted singer, adding that it's been nice to enjoy time off as a couple following her time on several Strictly UK tours.

"Me and Max sat at home doing nothing for a month straight," she said.

"I felt like I deserved it, I’ve had a physically intense job. We both agreed to chill and take our mind off everything and enjoy moving in together."

Maisie and Max moved in together earlier this year, after confirming their relationship last September.

The actress went on to discuss how the pair have found living together, revealing that they're both the same when it comes to cleaning duties.

"Me and Max are basically the same person," she continued.

"We'll both see a bit of tissue on the floor, I won't pick it up, he won't pick it up and eventually it's been a week and neither of us have picked it up. We laugh about it all the time. But because we're both the same, we can’t get angry with each other, which is why it works.

"We're both happy and that's what matters."

The couple first met while competing on the 2020 series of Strictly, which saw Maisie make the final alongside partner Gorka Márquez.

Maisie was recently forced to defend the relationship, following criticism about the couple's 13-year age gap.

"If it wasn’t that, it would be something else," she told The Sun.

"I don’t notice the age difference and neither do my friends or family."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
