Mick Carter is set to cause more concern after returning to Walford with an injured face on EastEnders.

In new scenes set to air next week, Linda and Max share a playdate with Abi and Ollie, though are surprised to see Mick return home with a bruised eye.

Linda asks Mick for the truth once Max is gone, where he claims that he was mugged, and later seems back to his old self when he takes Linda out for dinner.

However, he seemingly covers his surprise when Max talks to Linda about helping her with her new business venture. Mick later pretends to go to sleep when they return home to avoid her.

Later, Linda makes a costume for Ollie for the Lucy Beale application, and while she doubts that she will win, Max had told her that she may as well try.

Mick pretends to be happy and supportive, though later it becomes apparent that it's all a façade, and after upsetting Linda again, she makes a call.

Mick decides to call Katy and reveals that seeing her has taken him back to his childhood feeling lost and confused, opening-up to her about how desperate he has become.

Katy recently arrived on the soap, and is a carer who sexually abused Mick as a child.

EastEnders will air these scenes on the week starting November 23 on BBC One.
