Yahoo News Will EastEnders' Mick and Whitney have an affair?
It looks like EastEnders could be gearing up a brand new affair storyline - and fans are NOT happy about it.
In tonight's (January 19) episode, Whitney Carter and father-in-law Mick Carter appeared to have a 'moment' hinting there's a spark between the pair.
After falling out with husband Lee again, Whitney went over to his dad's to sleep there for the night, which saw Mick offering to sleep on the sofa while she took the bed.
What a gent.
However, before she left the room, the pair gazed into each other's eyes for a little longer than is socially acceptable for father-and-daughter-in-laws, before Whitney caught herself in time.
"I'm not giving up on Lee," she said. "He's my husband and I do love him."
Mick replied, still gazing, saying: "That boy, he don't deserve you. On my life, he don't." - before putting his arm on her shoulder and telling her everything would be alright.
So, fans immediately took to Twitter to warn EastEnders bosses that they are horrified by this possible pairing:
