EastEnders' Nish tells major lie as Suki gets suspicious

EastEnders spoilers follow.

Vinny Panesar has fallen into his evil father Nish's trap in the latest EastEnders episode.

Earlier this week, Suki pressured her son Vinny to throw out a pendant given to him by Nish on the night of his big party. Nish was seething with anger as he secretly watched his son toss out the gift.

In Thursday's (September 19) episode, Vinny struggled with his guilt over throwing away a family heirloom simply to prove his loyalty to his mum Suki.

Vinny shared his guilty feelings with his mother, only for Suki to insist that Nish was once again trying to manipulate him.

Later, Vinny was shocked as Nish officially signed ownership of the chicken shop over to him. While Vinny was elated to take control of the family empire, Suki had her doubts.

She confronted Nish about why he'd suddenly handed over control of the chicken shop instead of the Minute Mark, considering the chicken shop is a front for money laundering.

Nish assured his ex-wife that his intentions were entirely honourable, revealing he'd set things up to ensure his assistant Harti would be blamed for any impropriety.

"What do you think Harti is for? He's the perfect fall guy," Nish assured Suki. "I assure you, I'm not handing Vinny a poisoned chalice."

Viewers know that Nish is lying about why he's signed over the business, as he's secretly working to set up his own son as revenge for him siding with Suki.

Nish recently found out that the police are investigating the chicken shop business. He will soon put a plan in motion for Vinny to land in trouble with the cops.

Will Vinny discover his father's nefarious agenda before it's too late?

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
