'EastEnders' preview: Will the police close in on Gray?
Tuesday’s EastEnders will feature a turning point in the long-running Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) story, as the police are finally informed of his part in first wife Chantelle’s (Jessica Plummer) death.
Viewers have been waiting for the murderer to be brought to justice since 2020. After putting Chantelle through years of abuse, he violently attacked her and callously left her to die while he popped out for a pint of milk.
Since that night, Gray has also brutally killed beloved characters Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).
Last week ended on a disturbing note as the soap confirmed Gray had dumped poor Tina’s body in the abandoned Argee Bhajee restaurant, delivering an eerie final shot of a skeletal hand visible inside a familiar pink coat. Given the recent gas leak on-site, there is now a strong chance of the body being unearthed.
As the week began, thankfully it wasn’t all doom and gloom amid this harrowing plot.

Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) took notes from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) on how to be more tough, before hilariously trying to bribe new market inspector Honey (Emma Barton) for a preferable pitch for daughter Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) new business.
It didn’t go down well, but provided welcome light relief for us.
But back to the saga of our resident serial killer now, as Gray was seen hovering near the Argee Bhajee, concerned about what the builders might find inside. He resorted to sneaky tactics to get information, and found out the floorboards were being stripped.

Meanwhile, Whitney’s fears for Gray's vulnerable new wife Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) grew when she found her friend in distress following his angry tirade. She headed to the police station to report what she discovered about Chantelle’s death last December.
The latest instalment of EastEnders will pick up immediately after the cliffhanger, when we’ll hear what Whitney has to say to DCI Arthurs (Ian Burfield).
Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) previously warned Whit that they would need more evidence in order to involve the police. But now that Chelsea’s safety is at risk, will this be enough to persuade them to investigate Gray?

The scheming solicitor has managed to stay one step ahead of everyone so far, but surely his time is running out?
Will the police take any action - whether it’s based on Whitney’s evidence or simply in the best interests of Chelsea?
And what will happen next at the Argee Bhajee? If the builders go ahead with their work, could Tina finally expose Gray to the square, just like she planned to before he took her life?
Tune in to EastEnders at 7.30pm to find out what Gray will do next.
