EastEnders' Reiss to face suspicion after defending Sonia
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Reiss Colwell will find himself under suspicion again next week, as he tries to defend his fiancée Sonia Fowler from a wrongful murder charge.
Last month, Reiss and Sonia were arrested at their engagement party on suspicion of killing Reiss' wife Debbie - a crime which Reiss is guilty of, but which Sonia has no idea about.
With the evidence pointing to her, Sonia has now been charged with Debbie's murder and is being held in prison - while Reiss has walked free.

Next week's scenes see Reiss continue to be at Teddy Mitchell's beck-and-call, now that Teddy has taken on the debt that Reiss owed to Phil Mitchell and Sharon Watts.
Reiss is rattled when he's confronted by Teddy, who announces that he's got a job for Reiss - he wants him to do some work on his books to hide how many assets he has. Reiss is unhappy to be implicated in yet more illegal activity, but he's left feeling like he has no other choice.
As the local gossips continue to debate whether Sonia could be guilty, Teddy puts even more pressure on Reiss, as he insists that he needs his fiddled books back by tomorrow so that he can pass them to his ex's solicitor.

As Reiss panics, Teddy says that if he can meet the deadline, he will help Reiss to prove Sonia's innocence. Reiss agrees to the deal.
The next day, Teddy is pleased that Reiss has managed to complete the accounting work. But things take another turn for Reiss when he's stopped by a reporter, who wants to know why he's defending his wife's killer.
Luckily, the interview ends up going in Reiss's favour and his words seem to cast doubt on Sonia's guilt. After reading the interview, Kim Fox decides to start publicly supporting Sonia, before Alfie Moon presents a box of T-shirts with the message 'Save Our Sonia'.

But Reiss's good mood doesn't last, as Debbie's dad Hugh shows up and asks him to sign the paperwork to release Debbie's body ahead of her funeral. While they talk, Hugh begs Reiss to see the truth about Sonia, convinced that she's Debbie's killer.
Reiss is left feeling incredibly uncomfortable by the exchange - will he confess the truth, or continue to let Sonia take the blame for his crime?
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
