Yahoo News EastEnders reveals Linda's fate after cancer diagnosis
EastEnders' Linda Carter was given the all-clear tonight (September 21) after she attended an important oncology appointment at the hospital.
Linda (Kellie Bright) recently confided in Jack Branning about how she was battling cancer during her time away from Walford, but she's decided to keep her family in the dark.
Prior to her appointment, tonight's EastEnders episode saw Linda decide to confide in Mick at last – only to miss her chance when he revealed that he'd booked them a surprise holiday.
Determined not to ruin Mick's good mood, Linda subsequently decided to head to her appointment alone, despite her obvious and understandable anxiety over receiving bad news.
Given how worried Linda was, she was naturally pleased when Jack turned up to join her, having correctly guessed that she could do with the support.
The pair were later relieved to hear that the treatment had worked well, and Linda was in the clear – meaning she was free to go ahead and enjoy her holiday.
Linda hoped that the good news would also mean she would never have to tell Mick about her ordeal, but was left further torn when the doctor informed her that she'd require further check-ups to rule out re-occurrence.
Will Linda decide to tell Mick everything now she has the all-clear? Or could he remain in the dark forever?
EastEnders continues tomorrow night at 8pm on BBC One.
