EastEnders reveals Linda’s mystery blackmailer in iPlayer release
EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (August 8) that is available to watch on streaming service BBC iPlayer now and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has revealed the identity of Linda Carter’s mystery blackmailer in the show’s latest episode.
This week, Linda planned to take a deal from Dean’s associate Fraser where she would retract her witness statement and Dean would confess to her rape.
But this plan was thwarted when Jack arrested Fraser for perverting the course of justice – before Linda received an anonymous letter that suggested someone knew about the events of Christmas Day.

In today’s episode, which will air on BBC Two tonight, Linda was anxious about who could have sent the letter, while Johnny urged her to go to the police station to explain that she wasn’t going to take Fraser’s deal.
But Linda, furious about what her son did, refused to go to the police until she finds out who delivered the threat.
Johnny was keen to get to the bottom of things and asked Callum to find out whether Fraser had been released yet, and he later reported back that he was still in custody.

He informed Denise and Sharon that Linda hadn’t yet gone to the police, before returning to The Vic and discovering a second letter which read, "Liar! Confess!"
Linda was horrified by this development and the realisation that Fraser couldn’t have sent the letters, and Johnny demanded she go to the police now.
She refused again, convinced she would crumble, and reached for alcohol, before Johnny lost his temper and told his mum that he was done trying to help her.

Impacted by her son’s outburst, Linda finally changed her mind and decided to go to the police.
When Linda later returned from the station, she found a third letter and decided that whoever was sending them was currently in the pub.
In a paranoid rage, she accused Nish, Stacey and Bernie of being the blackmailer, before she was taken away by Johnny.

As Elaine was convinced that Johnny was hiding something from her, Linda told him that she doesn’t feel safe in her home.
Meanwhile, Dean was visited in prison by the mystery blackmailer, who was revealed to be none other than Bernie.
As Dean encouraged her to keep sending the letters, Bernie said that she thinks Linda knows who killed Keanu.
"I believe you," she said, "and I’m going to get the truth out of her." What will Bernie do next?
