EastEnders reveals when Phil Mitchell's shock attack will air

EastEnders has revealed when Phil Mitchell's shock attack will air, as one character takes brutal revenge on him.

The BBC soap is lining up a dramatic new storyline for Phil (Steve McFadden), which will see him left for dead after he's violently assaulted.

Newly-released short spoilers have revealed that Phil's attack will take place in the week commencing Monday, July 29, with the fallout airing in Thursday and Friday's episodes.

Although the identity of Phil's attacker is not currently known, the plot will be a culmination of his ongoing problems with Ben and the Slater family.

The short spoilers also reveal that Keanu Taylor's name will come into the mix when he has a nasty clash with Phil in the days before the crime. Check out the full collection of teaser spoilers here:

Monday, July 29

Ruby and Stacey struggle to remain civil, Sharon gets the news she has been waiting for and Ben continues his scheming.

Tuesday, July 30

Phil is left riled by Keanu, while Ben sees red and Kat gets on the wrong side of Phil.

Thursday, August 1

With Phil left for dead, those involved take drastic action in order to cover their tracks. Bernadette gives Karen a firm reality check, and Stuart takes Rainie on a date.

Friday, August 2

With Phil’s life hanging in the balance, tensions grow in the Square. Habiba confronts Adam about their future, and Denise gets a shock.
