EastEnders revisited Sonia Fowler's secret tonight (September 21) as the police turned up to speak to her over an incident in Kettering.
Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) came back to Walford in June, following a nine-month stint in Kettering, and it was always implied that she was hiding something upon her return.
If we cast our minds back to earlier in the summer, Robbie confronted Sonia over her shady behaviour – especially pulling out of a local flat they'd paid a deposit on.
Not only had Sonia quitted her job in Kettering very suddenly, but she seemed reluctant to talk about her life there at all – suggesting that something had happened that she was running from.
Concerned for his sister, Robbie demanded to know what was really going on, but to no avail, and the mystery surrounding Sonia had seemingly been forgotten... until now.
Tonight's episode of the soap saw Sonia left stunned when the police turned up at her house and asked if they could speak to her over an incident in Kettering.
Sonia looked visibly shaken by the unexpected visit, but agreed to speak to them anyway. So what is going on? And are we finally about to find out what Sonia has been hiding these last few months?
