EastEnders’ Ruby and Martin to clash amid important market update
EastEnders spoilers follow.
Ruby Allen and Martin Fowler will clash on EastEnders amidst the ongoing drama with the market.
Ruby returned to Walford in November as she informed ex-husband Martin that she had given birth to their son, Roman, whilst behind bars.
Roman had since been in hospital with autoimmune hepatitis, with Martin offering to be the donor in the transplant. This has brought the pair closer together, with the duo sharing a kiss – much to the dismay of Stacey, who has developed feelings for Martin.

Amidst all this, Honey and Billy shared that the Walford market was at risk of closure by the council, with next week’s scenes seeing Ruby urging Martin to find out more about the developments.
He later headed to The Vic – where the other traders are gathered – to reveal that he would need to prepare his case ahead of delivering it to the council, with Ruby becoming annoyed after Stacey volunteered to help.
Later in the week, a disgruntled Ruby finds Martin and Stacey chatting happily about their project for the market. As Mr Lister arrives with news, does Ruby feel like her relationship with Martin is changing? And what will happen with the market?

Whilst Ruby and Martin have grown closer, love has been in the air for Ravi Gulati and Denise Fox as they continued their affair over the festive period, though Aaron Thiara – who has played Ravi since 2022 – recently shared that the pair will struggle to keep things a secret.
“Ravi and Denise know the situation is complicated and that they perhaps shouldn't be doing this, but these feelings they had before have been relit,” he explained. “What happened last time escalated in a way that Ravi didn't really want to happen.
“This time, it's different. I think Ravi is a bit more mature, and perhaps he's slightly less reckless, so he feels like he's got a clean slate with Denise. Ravi respects Denise's wishes and is happy to go at her pace.”
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
