EastEnders' Sam Mitchell will be caught out next week, in the aftermath of Ben's shock collapse.
Viewers know that Sam has been secretly plotting to ruin the Mitchells' empire, and her scheme is about to collide with her nephew Ben's sad struggle.
Recent episodes have seen Ben turn to drugs as a coping mechanism following his devastating rape ordeal.
Sam, meanwhile, is working with the Mitchells' nemesis Jonah and has been taking a cut of the drugs he's been selling under her nose in Peggy's. Ben has recently come on board with her scheme.
As Ben continues to spark concern among his loved ones with his behaviour, Kathy is unimpressed to see James has stayed the night with him.
Kathy is quick to remind Ben about Lexi's dance exam later that day, and a family meal after. Despite this, Ben still turns up late for Lexi's exam, leaving her distraught.
When Lexi reveals she misses her 'old dad', Ben snaps and makes her cry.
Devastated following his fallout with Lexi, Ben turns to drugs, but Sam spots him and tells him to pull himself together.
Ignoring Sam's warning, Ben heads to a party to find James, where he takes more drugs.
Realising he's late for Lexi's dinner, Ben leaves her an emotional voicemail and says he's on his way, but suddenly collapses.
Lexi is upset when Ben is a no show for her meal, but Callum and Jay quickly realise something is wrong when she plays them his voicemail.
Their worst fears come true when Ben is found unconcious, with no pulse.
As Ben is rushed to hospital, Sharon becomes suspicious when Zack informs her of what's happened.
Realising Zack is holding something back, Sharon demands to know what's really going on.
Sharon wastes no time in relaying the truth back to Phil – Sam knew about the drugs and has been letting it happen.
Sam is on edge as Phil ignores her calls afterwards, and instructs a guilty Zack not to tell anyone about the drugs – unaware he already has.
Fearing her secret is about to be exposed, Sam warns Jonah the dealing has to stop.
She then lands herself in hot water when a furious Phil reveals he knows all about the drugs anyway, but what will this mean for Sam?
