EastEnders schemer Max Branning is determined to keep his dark secrets under wraps as Jane Beale comes out of her coma next week.

Max (Jake Wood) knows he could be in big trouble when the doctors decide to wake Jane up, so he finds any excuse he can to hang around at the hospital.

When Jane (Laurie Brett) discovered Max's secrets last month, he responded in shocking style by trying to silence her forever – leading to a terrifying fire at the Beales' restaurant.

Next week, Max's main priority is figuring out how much Jane remembers, so he finds a way to keep Ian from being at the hospital.

Max wants to be the first person Jane speaks to once she's conscious again, but when she eventually comes round, will she still have any memories of what happened? Is she still in danger with Max?

Over on Hollyoaks, Leela Lomax lashes out at her ex-boyfriend Zack Loveday when a caring attempt to help her backfires.

Zack (Duayne Boachie) was recently accused of hurting Leela's baby son Daniel, so she's made it clear that she wants nothing more to do with him.

Struggling to cope with life as a single mum, Leela falls asleep in the Jubilee Gardens – prompting Zack to step in and look after Daniel when he spots that nobody is keeping an eye on him.

As these pictures show, Leela isn't happy when she wakes up and sees Zack holding her son, leading to even more tension between the former couple.

Later, when Simone and Lisa convince the football club in Wales to give Zack another chance, could he be heading for a fresh start away from the village?
