But when Kathy then tells Peter about what’s going on, he reveals what he knows. Cue Bobby getting down on one knee, and a furious Kathy and Peter bursting in to prevent him from marrying into this family.
Chelsea receives a new warning
Chelsea is isolating herself further from her friends and extended family, telling Whitney that her sole focus is now Jordan. Denise, too, gets short shrift when she’s told by Chelsea that she can no longer see the newborn.
Later on, though, Chelsea runs into a nurse who recognises Gray from when he used to come to the hospital with Chantelle. She’s sickened to hear that Chantelle has died and offers Chelsea support should she need it, only to have her plea spurned.
By Friday, Kheerat has managed to get a moment alone with Chelsea, but will his words have any effect on her?
Callum gets arrested
Kathy remarks to Callum that the joy felt at New Year has now evaporated. So Callum pays a visit to Ben and tells him he’s going to organise a party outside the Prince Albert – and that he should meet him there in an hour if he thinks their marriage has a future.
As things turn out, the party itself ends up earning complaints about the noise. But when Jack turns up to shut down the celebration, a defiant Callum refuses and ends up being arrested.
Tommy fears an attack by bullies
As Scarlett faces flak from some bullies, Tommy defends her, confident that he has the backup of Phil should there be any trouble.
But when Kat later sits Tommy down and tells him that Phil is going to prison for a very long time, the youngster worries that he’ll no longer have protection.
As for Phil himself - well, he’s prepping for that stretch behind bars by passing on some deeds to Sharon and asking her to take care of the business. When Sharon asks he’s entrusting things to her, Phil replies that Ben isn’t in a good way and wouldn’t be able to cope.
Stacey’s life is on the line
Stacey is feeling despondent because she’s now aware that Martin was first choice for the market job. But the role itself turns out to be a poisoned chalice and Stacey ends up with rubbish being tipped all over her.
An amused Martin watches her plight. However, a fed-up Stacey later admits to him how much she hates her new responsibilities. But as Stacey gets into her stride about Martin making her life hell, she inadvertently backs into the path of an oncoming car…
Finally, Friday’s episode sees various characters cleaning up the Prince Albert, only to hear a loud bang.
As it turns out, there’s been a gas explosion at the nearby Argee Bhajee. But is anyone in danger?
