'EastEnders' spoilers 16-20 March, 2020: Chantelle struggles to hide her injuries

It’s all kicking off in EastEnders next week as Chantelle struggles to forgive Gray after his latest attack and Sharon makes a heart-wrenching decision in the BBC One soap.

Here’s what’s happening in Walford from March 16.

Chantelle tries to hide her injuries

While an increasingly frustrated Gray tries to rectify things with Whitney, Chantelle tries to hide the injuries inflicted on her the week before.

And despite her husband’s reservations, she starts her new job at the call centre. Later Gray is mortified to see the injuries and promises he’ll never hurt her again, but Chantelle remains cold.

Sharon lets Karen look after Kayden

Sharon is left distraught when she learns that Dennis’ body is being released. Struggling as she makes funeral plans, she breaks down completely when she views the body. As Kathy tries to support her, Sharon hands baby Kayden over to Karen before making a heart-wrenching decision.

Gangster Danny’s back in town

Former Brookside star Paul Usher returns to Walford next week as dodgy gangster Danny. He’s back with a proposition for Ben. But what is it? Desperate to support Ben, Callum quizzes him about Danny and suggests he avoids any stress. Needless to say, Ben isn’t pleased by his interference.

Isaac has a proposition for Linda

Linda finds herself struggling with school drop-off as she tries to apologise to Shelley. She’s left embarrassed when Shelley cruelly gives her some home truths. Isaac approaches Linda and suggests she starts helping out at the school. What will Linda say?

Ben tries to hide the truth

Not wanting to appear vulnerable in front of Danny, Ben tries to hide the truth about his hearing. But he’s left feeling frustrated when mum, Kathy, intervenes. When Callum arrives to take Ben to his hospital appointment, he’s stunned to see Danny giving Ben an ultimatum, leaving him concerned.

Keegan is frustrated following a loan application meeting

Keegan is angry after a loan application meeting doesn’t go to plan. Later, he takes his frustrations out on Mitch for not being honest with Bailey about the difficulties she might face in the future. Mitch is pleased when Keegan apologises later, but it’s clear he has other things on his mind.

Ben cheats on Callum?

Ben is left reeling when he finds out it could be months until his surgery. He’s wound up even more when Danny learns of Callum’s involvement with the police. As Danny threatens Callum, Ben is forced to reveal the truth about his hearing. A livid Ben lashes out at Callum and storms off. He ends up having a drink with another man, Hugo, in the Prince Albert. But it’s not long before Ben steals his car and is arrested.

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
