Devilish Dotty Cotton- who’s played by Milly Zero in the BBC soap - is set to make a shocking discovery in EastEnders next week when she learns the role that Ian Beale played in the death of Dennis Mitchell.
EE fans know that tragic Dennis – or Denny as mum, Sharon, insisted on calling him – died after the Queen Vic boat party came to a Titanic-style end.
This was after the teen was locked below deck by a livid Ian (Adam Woodyatt), who was fuming that Dennis had his son Bobby attacked by anti-Islam thugs.
Dennis left a voicemail for Sharon - who was giving birth at the time – which has so far gone unheard.
But it looks like Ian – who’s been wracked with guilt since the crash – is on borrowed time when Dotty finds The Arches’ business mobile, which has loads of messages about jobs.
As she listens to the messages, one stops her in her tracks and she rushes off, in search of Ian. When she finds him, she plays him the voicemail – Dennis pleading for Ian to let him out of the locked room on the boat.
So, what will Dotty do with her new information?
Meanwhile, Sharon continues to struggle with Dennis’ death, leaving Ian and Kathy concerned. Kathy encourages Ian to support Sharon as he continues to feel the weight of his guilt.
Later, a despondent Sharon is spotted by Linda Carter who offers to look after her friend’s new baby to keep herself busy as she tries to kick the booze once and for all.
Will Sharon agree?
EastEnders is on BBC One Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm
