Former EastEnders star Danielle Harold has confirmed she's "still single" a year after saying she could't find a man to buy her a cup of tea.

The Lola Pearce-Brown actor got candid about the struggles of dating during her appearance on I'm a Celebrity... last year, admitting she had a hard time getting "a guy to buy me a cuppa".

Discussing her personal life, Harold admitted things haven't changed much since her stint in the jungle.

"I'm still single. I'm a bit of a home bird so don't go out that much," she told The Sun. "But, when I do, I never get chatted up."

However, her "cuppa" line attracted a lot of potential suitors since she left I'm a Celebrity, with Harold receiving private messages from men ready to offer her a brew.

"I had a lot of DMs when I came out of the jungle from guys asking me if I wanted a cup of tea," she said.

"At first I thought, 'What?' Then I realised it was because of what I'd said and it had become this huge thing. It even became a meme."

Nonetheless, she appears to be more excited about receiving DMs from biscuit companies.

"I was telling one of my best friends the other day, 'Well, you'll never guess who slipped into my DMs?'" the soap star shared.

"She got all excited, but no, it was McVitie's chocolate biscuits."

She continued: "She was absolutely cracking up. We both were. I'm not even joking."

"I've had Oreos get in touch with me, too," she added. "That's who I'm chatting to in my DMs."

Since leaving the role of Lola behind in a heartbreaking storyline, Pearce has also appeared on Celebrity MasterChef season 19, which was ultimately won by Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola.

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
