EastEnders actress Lorraine Stanley has called for three faces from Karen Taylor's past to arrive on Albert Square.

Karen has multiple children by different fathers, and the actress has told Digital Spy that she would like to see their dads come on the soap.

Asked if they'll bring in Keanu's father, Lorraine told us: "Yeah, I hope so. I think, at the moment, the Taylors have got enough on their plate. But I reckon that is probably, I'm guessing, in the pipeline.

"And Bernie's dad as well. And Riley and Chatham's dad! God, how many dads? They're all different. Bernie’s dad is different. Chatham and Riley's dad is different. And Keanu's dad is different. Obviously Mitch is Chantelle and Keegan's dad. Four fathers."

She joked that the prospect would keep her "in the show for another two years at least!"

Lorraine also spoke about how things have gone since new bosses Kate Oates and Jon Sen have come on board at EastEnders, explaining: "They're great people, and I think they’re going to bring so much to it.

"EastEnders is just getting better and better. I mean, I've always loved it. I've watched it from day one. I'm a big EastEnders fan and I think we're in a really good place, and so are the Taylors.

"I think they've got some great storylines for us and the rest of the cast. I think we're smashing it at the minute. It feels good."

She added: "We don't really get told plans, as such. We get our scripts. We get an idea of what storylines are coming up. But no, we're not in the office with them discussing it. We’re just the actors!

"I think if you've got a big storyline, you can go and discuss it. But generally, we get our scripts – and I can’t wait to get them. I read them new, and fresh, and like: 'Ooh, what's going to happen?' I prefer it like that."

Lorraine is up for Best Actress at the British Soap Awards – you can vote here.

EastEnders airs on BBC One.
