Yahoo News EastEnders star predicts major drama when Sharon and Keanu's affair revealed
Sharon Mitchell and Keanu Taylor's affair has so far been kept secret to Albert Square – but EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley, who plays Kanu's mum Karen Taylor, has predicted major drama if the truth does comes out.
On-screen husband Phil would certainly be involved, with Lorraine telling Digital Spy that she looks forward to being part of that climax should it happen.
"Oh, yeah – if and when it happens, yeah," she said. "It's obviously got to come out, hasn't it? But yeah, there would be some brilliant scenes there.
"It's always a pleasure working with Steve McFadden, so that would be explosive. It'd be a bombshell explosion."
Of course, one person that has known about 'Sheanu' is Karen, and Lorraine admitted things would get tense if she found out that the affair was back on after the pair recently gave into temptation.
"Oh, I think she'd be banging on that door again, wouldn't she? She'd be running in there and gripping Sharon up again," the actress continued, adding that Karen is fonder of Keanu's other love interest Louise – who is pregnant with Keanu's child.
"I think she'd be so angry. Because she doesn't mind Louise. Obviously Louise is part of the Mitchell family, but Keanu could do a lot worse than Louise. So I think she's happy with that scenario.
"So if Sharon comes in and messes everything up, I think Karen would go in all guns blazing."
Lorraine also revealed whether she would like to see Karen and Mitch Baker become a couple again, adding: "Well, he's the love of Karen's life, but he's also cheated on her loads and he's not good enough.
"I think they love each other deep down. But I think they're always on and off. I think Karen would like for them to be together, yeah. Whether that's going to happen, I doubt it. Or if it does, he'll cheat on her again!"
